e-Estonians are ready to share their knowledge about digital society and e-governance

The Transform Africa Summit 2018 is the Smart Africa flagship event that Estonians do not want to miss. Estonians delegation leaded by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Mr Väino Reinart is participating in the Transform Africa Summit in Rwanda.

On 21st March 2018 Smart Africa signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications. The concept of digitizing Africa was emphasized by both sides of Memorandum of Understanding. Building e-Estonia as one of the most advanced e-societies in the world has involved continuous experimentation and learning from mistakes. Estonians are ready to lead by example and help African countries to becoming a safe e-state with automatic e-services available 24/7. Estonians believe that a digitally educated and connected society is the way to a welthier, smarter and happier nation.

During the Summit Estonians will organize the panel session „Digital Dividends from eGovernance: e-Estonia approach“ on 9th of May 2018 where panelists will share their digitalization experiences from public sector projects.

From 7th to 9th of May e-Estonia pavilion in Transform Africa event is demonstrating e-solutions that Estonian companies have developed. The pavilion is supported by Estonian Smart City and ICT Clusters from European Regional Development Fund.

Estonians delegation members are from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Estonian Smart City Cluster and Estonian ICT Cluster together with their partner companies.

Following ICT-companies are participating in event to show their e-governance solutions: Aktors, Cybernetica, GoSwift, K12 Technologies, Nortal, Net Group and Reach-U.

The Transform Africa Summit will take place in Kigali, Rwanda, from 8 – 9 May 2018. The panel session is taking place on 9th of May at 10.00-11.30 in room MH2B.
